Add a phone
First time only. Phones you've added before connect by themselves when plugged in.
Can't find a menu, or phone not showing up?
- Can't find a menu? Open Settings and search

- No Allow popup on the phone: unlock the screen, unplug, plug back in, and click Choose phone again.
- Phone missing from Chrome's list: check step 4. The USB mode must be File transfer, not charging only.
- Try another cable or port. Many cheap cables only charge and carry no data.
- Close Android Studio, Samsung Smart Switch, or any other phone tool on this computer, then replug.
- Allowed the wrong computer before? Developer options → Revoke USB debugging authorizations, then start again.
- On Windows, the phone may need its USB driver (for Samsung: "Samsung USB Driver").
No phone was chosen. If your phone wasn't in the list, open the tips above.
